Designing Your Own Website

Wednesday, May 4, 2005
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Central Time)

Websites are becoming increasingly effective ways to reach clients and others with critical information. But the complexities of creating and maintaining a website can be daunting. This workshop will help you learn how to create your own website using the website design program Macromedia Dreamweaver. This popular and powerful program is a professional HTML editor for designing, coding, and developing websites and Web applications. A benefit of the program is that it does not require you to have previous knowledge of HTML coding.

The class will be held in a computer lab at NDSU so each participant will receive hands-on experience. For that reason the class is limited to the first 20 registrants. (Note: space not reserved until payment recieved.)

With Dreamweaver, you can create and edit Web pages in an interface that allows you can view the changes as you make them. You can define a site, create and save a Web page, create and format text, insert images, create and format layout and data tables, create a links to other pages and email addresses, create templates, etc.

If you have any questions, please e-mail Gary Hegland gary.hegland@ndsu.edu or call (701)231-6436.
